Foulis in quarter dark red leather, white paper boards with a pattern in grey by Robert Scott Simon; grey endleaves. Slip case covered with the same paper used on the boards. There are 11 splendid half-page wood-engravings, and seven equally splendid vignette head-pieces (each repeated three or four times). In 1991, this title was chosen as the set book for the Designer Bookbinders’ 1992 design competition, and 200 sets of unbound sheets of the third printing were supplied for this purpose.
