I’m James, the collector behind Fine Press Finds, an online bookshop based in Perth, Western Australia. I specialise in Folio Society books, alongside selected limited and illustrated small-press editions.
Literary fiction and modern classics are particular favourites of mine. I’m drawn to editions that bring something special to a story through their illustrations, binding or thoughtful design - books that are a pleasure to read as well as to keep.
How I Choose the Books
Choosing stock is about the whole edition: the work itself, its craftsmanship, condition and the place it might find on someone’s shelves. A striking illustrated edition might catch my eye, but so might a beautifully understated copy of a much-loved novel.
Folio Society is at the heart of the collection, with room for other fine press discoveries that share that attention to the book as an object. My aim is to help you find a copy you’ll be delighted to make room for.
Buying With Confidence
Buying a collectible book online should feel straightforward. Listings include photographs and plain condition notes, with notable wear to the book, slipcase or dust jacket highlighted. Books are carefully wrapped and packed with protection in mind, so they arrive as pictured and described.
