The four Gospels, preceded by a personal reminiscence by Robert Gibbings, proprietor of the Golden Cockerel Press 1924–1933. Engravings by Eric Gill. 298 × 226 × 32 mm. Pp. [i–xiv], [1–5] 6–268 [269–274]. Type: Perpetua for the preliminaries. Printed and bound by Kösel in full dark red cloth blocked in gold; grey endleaves. Grey slip case blocked with single star in silver. Based on the limited edition of 2007 which reproduced the Golden Cockerel Press edition. Gibbings’s introductory piece has been used again and is followed by facsimile pages
of the 1931 edition.
