[i–iv] v–xviii, [1–2], 3–292 [293–296]: [16] leaves of plates. Type: Caslon with hand-drawn lettering for the title. Printed (the title-page in dark pink and black) by Memminger MedienCentrum. Bound by Real Lachenmaier in series binding (item 1124). Full dark pink cloth with a design by Stevens in blue, cream, black and gold; dark purple endleaves with a design in gold.  Dark purple slip case. First published in 1903. The 36 stories are punctuated by additional pen-and-ink drawings by Stevens.
