The selected adventures and memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, Arthur Conan Doyle, introduced by Michael Dirda, illustrated by Max Löffler. 241 × 162 × 25 mm. Pp. [i–iv] v–xvii [xviii], [1–2] 3–244 [245–246]: [8] leaves of black and white plates (facing pp. 4, 38, 64, 102, 150, 180, 214 and 240). Type: Laurentian with Clarendon for display. Printed and bound by L.E.G.O. in full red and black cloth blocked in cream, black and red with a design by Löffler; black endleaves. Black slip case blocked in red and cream with tobacco pipe design on one side. Only three of the ten stories were included in the previous single volume collection from 1997. Löffler was commissioned through winning the eighth Book Illustration Competition.
